Not happy? … compared with whom?
When you think about the things in life that make you less than satisfied with the things you have, remember that there are those who have far less. For most of us, we tend to view our existence in terms of things that we would like to have, rather than being thankful for the abundance that has already been given us. While this may be only natural, given the materialistic society portrayed in the media, when we stop and take a good hard look at the situations faced by most of the world’s population, it tends to put things in perspective. If you’re not happy with your current wardrobe, consider the multitude of those with no acceptable clothes or shoes, at all! When you wish you had steak for dinner instead of a hamburger, think about a child who hopes to find a scrap of food amidst a trash pile. When your circumstances fall short of your desires, then consider these images and ask yourself, “Am I really so bad off?”
~ George Parker N.D.
If you think you are unhappy, look at them :
If you think your salary is low, how about her ?
If you think you don’t have many friends…
When you feel like giving up, think of this man…
If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does ?
If you complain about your transport system , how about them ?
If your society is unfair to you , how about her ?
Are you still complaining ? Observe around you and be thanksfull for all that you have in this transitory life time.. We are fortunate, we have much more than what we need to be content. Let’s try not to feed this endless cycle of consumerism and immorality in which this “modern and advanced” society forgets and ignores the other two thirds of our brothers and sisters.
